Food has always been my passion. I make it with enthusiasm, adventure and a kind heart, with a little craziness mixed in. My foods are not just for vegetarians and gluten free people. They are for everyone. My foods are organic (when possible), sustainable, and gluten free. You’ll also find new products to enjoy as I create them. I hope to inspire you to be healthier and happier as you enjoy your Buddhalicious gourmet foods.
The main reason for creating Buddha Belly Kitchen is because of my son, Sam. He has ADHD, OCD, and Anxiety, as well as a litany of allergies and food sensitivities.
Traditional doctors put him on meds that clearly did not work. They kept increasing the doses with no major breakthroughs. We finally sought an alternative to traditional medicine and found the incredible holistic MD, Dr. Hirani. Following some intense testing we discovered why he was feeling so awful and crawling out of his skin.
Sam’s diet changed, (still a vegetarian), received chelation therapy, lowered his medications and began taking supplements. He is now gluten free, soy free, corn free, and peanut free among many others. I went on Sam’s new diet too, so he does not have to go it alone. I love it and have never felt better.
Sam, who is a very bright boy, went from a struggling middle school student to getting A’s and B’s (he is now in High School). He is far more social. He is also happy, more focused, and not crawling out of his skin so much anymore.
Sam has shown such great improvement since his new diet and supplements (combining traditional medicine and holistic) as the work in progress continues.
The whole family has benefited from everything we have learned as we go through this journey.
Finding healthy snacks, that Sam could have, was extremely difficult, so I made my own.
I love sharing these snacks with friends and family and now I can share them with you too.
